Certainly one of the newest kids on the horological block, de Grisogono has firmly established itself as a watch brand that is prepared to go bold, daring and different, setting its own standards and levels of creativity that just aren’t comparable to any other brand out there.
Channeling his own robust and fiercely adventurous spirit, founder Fawaz Gruosi stole the jewelry limelight in 1993, sharing his intense passion for the seductively sexy black diamond with the world. Spellbindingly beautiful and luxurious black diamond jewelry has since rocked the jewelry scene and taken the world by storm. The cult status of the alluring and mysterious black diamond, along with the correct cut, polish and design, has elevated to an all-time high; and Gruosi was hailed a genius, for heralding a new jewelry trend in a world that used to value only sparkling white and colored diamonds.
In 2000, de Grisogono launched its first watch collection, breaking new ground with the striking shape and unusual execution of the dials, coupled with a refreshing use of unusual gems and mix of colours.
That exotic creativity is clearly evident in the five-piece limited edition of de Grisogono Instrumentino at Sincere’s Haute Horlogerie Boutique. The 18 k rose gold case is set with 54 pink sapphires and 34 white diamonds, and the crown is set with the signature natural black diamond. It is, however, the light pink mother-of-pearl, decorative ring set with a gradation of 74 pink sapphires and eight white diamonds on the bezel and the sub-dial that stands out with its simple, yet incredibly striking looks.
The automatic movement offers a dual time zone and sapphire crystal caseback so its wearer can also appreciate the watch’s inner beauty. Elegantly completed with genuine galuchat strap with 18 k rose gold foldover clasp, this is certainly a horological treasure.
