A World-Class Retail Concept

Only in Singapore - that is the concept behind Sincere Watch Limited's Sincere Haute Horlogerie at the Hilton Gallery.

And it was only in Singapore that collectors and aficionados were able to get their hands on limited edition timepieces - all made available at Sincere Haute Horlogerie.

Sincere Watch Held the World Exclusive Watch Collection Showcase last October, where the limited edition collections, worth a cool $45 million, were displayed and sold at the shop. It should, therefore, come as no surprise that Sincere Haute Horlogerie has won the Best Retail Concept in this year's Singapore Tourism Awards.

That October event raised Singapore's profile on the world stage as it brought in tourist dollars from high net worth individuals, an entirely different market from the usual tourists that came here.

Its opening marks a new era as the industry here tries to establish itself as a watch hub rivalling the likes of Hong Kong, Tokyo, London and New York.

"With the help of STB, this shop will embark in an annual series of world-exclusive timepieces. So if you are a watch collector, you would have to come to Singapore to acquire these limted edition pieces." said Mr. Ong Ban, chief operating officer, Sincere Watch Limited.

One distinct advantage Sincere Haute Horlogerie has over other watch boutiques is the luxury of space.

"For a lot of people, when you talk about luxury, space is a luxury. Our customers can enjoy the lounge environment. They can browse, it is like a meeting place for watch lovers." said Mr. Ong.

Sincere Watch wanted to come up with a retail concept that could compete with any watch boutique anywhere in the world.

It appears to have achieved this goal with Sincere Haute Horlogerie, and in the bargain raised watch retailing to a whole new level.
