Featuring the 2016 Novelties - The Triple Threats of High Complications
KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – In conjunction with the 100 Complications Exhibition, on 6th December 2016, SINCERE FINE WATCHES co-hosted a captivating cocktail dinner at Maison Francaise in Kuala Lumpur with A. Lange & Söhne for a night of exquisite discovery of A. Lange & Söhne’s latest novelties. The elegant affair undoubtedly immersed attendees in horological wonder.
Upon entering the exquisite venue, guests were greeted by walls lined with artfully framed A. Lange & Söhne complications, immediately engulfing them in the marvels offered by the esteemed watch brand. Mr Gary Chow, General Manager of Sincere Fine Watches Malaysia and Mr Gaetan Guillosson, Managing Director of A. Lange & Söhne eloquently greeted guests and wasted no time in ensuring that the stars of the evening was properly introduced.
Amongst the timepieces that incited excitement amongst attendees were A. Lange & Söhne’s triple threats of high complications from their 2016 Novelty. The first of the three is the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon which epitomizes the crux of haute horlogerie. Seamlessly combining three high-end complications together, this timepiece is in an entire league of its own as it houses a flyback chronograph with a precisely jumping minute counter, an instantaneous perpetual calendar with moon phase display and outsized date as well as a tourbillon with a patented stop-seconds mechanism. The classically designed black dial only enhances the fact that it is a masterpiece of elegance paired with technical functionality.
Rounding up the 2016 Novelty is the Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar. The prominent dial of the LANGE 1 inspired master watchmakers to reconfigure the classic perpetual calendar mechanism in a totally new way. The term visionary comes to mind when observing the dial of this timepiece as the months are indicated on a peripheral ring instead of on a subsidiary dial, thus eliminating display overlaps. Attendees were equally enthralled by the unique and distinctive Zeitwerk Minute Repeater. For the first time ever in a mechanical watch, the combination of a jumping numerals display with a decimal minute repeater was introduced.
The night of discovery was only enhanced as guests mingled and marvelled over A. Lange & Söhne’s timepieces whilst having their senses beguiled by the melodious singing of internationally renowned, Global Music Award winning soprano singer, Ang Mei Foong who mesmerized attendees with her rendition of classic opera tunes. It was evidently a night of exquisite discovery for watch connoisseurs and collectors alike.
