Unveiling a Festive Window Display featuring 100 Complications

November 2015 – Sincere Fine Watches celebrated the opening of their latest exhibition, titled A Very Wonderful Horological Christmas with a festive cocktail party on 25th November 2015. Hosted by the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Sincere Watch Limited, Mr. Kingston Chu, the façade of their flagship Takashimaya S.C., Ngee Ann City boutique featured 100 Complications, worth a total of at least $40 million, from the twenty-two participating brands.

The 100 Complications were arranged in their three categories – The Illusionists featuring timepieces with fusée & chain and escapements; The Mavericks, featuring timepieces with groundbreaking movements in the industry today and The Virtuosos, timepieces with the classic minute repeater. For the event, the area around the main window façade of the boutique was cordoned off, giving the appearance of a gift wrapped with a red bow, with the watches ‘unveiled’ only after the official ribbon cutting ceremony.

About 200 of Sincere’s most distinguished guests, brand and media partners turned up for the grand opening of the exhibition. Mr. Kingston Chu began with a welcome speech, introducing the concept behind the curation of the 100 Complications on display, saying, “We explored all forms of complications in the world of high watchmaking that would excite today’s watch lover and managed to narrow it down to three categories, the Illusionists, Mavericks and Virtuosos. The timepieces that are showcased at this exhibition aim to go beyond merely telling the time. These brands are masters in the field of horology, creating horological art of the very highest order.

After his speech, Mrs. Kingston Chu, Mr. Ong Ban, the CEO of Sincere Fine Watches, as well as their guest of honour, Ms. Elaine Chew, the General Manager of Toshin Development, were invited to join him for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Once the emcee officially announced the opening of ‘A Very Wonderful Horological Christmas’ Exhibition, the twenty-two brand representatives were invited to join the management team from Sincere and their guest of honour, on stage for a photo taking session to commemorate the occasion. Guests applauded the joyous occasion that marked the beginning of the year end festivities.

Guests were eager to come forward to view the 100 Complications showcased after the official unveiling of the window display.
